My name is Sara Sheehan. I was born and raised in New Jersey. There I attended The College of New Jersey to study Elementary Education and English. I graduated in 2005. After teaching in several different school settings, I made the big move to Tennessee in August of 2009.
Teaching is my passion! There is nothing more I love than watching students discover new information, as well as grow as learners! I am currently teaching Reading/English/Writing for fourth grade at Oak Grove Elementary School.
Outside of school, I absolutely love to swim! I swam competitively from age 8, and was lucky enough to coach many swimmers on a summer league team. I also enjoy dance, I take ballet classes through the Nashville Ballet when I am not at school! If I'm not doing either of those activities, I love spending time with family and friends, crafting, and reading! Baseball and hockey are my favorite sports to watch (go Phillies and Flyers!!).
Thank you for visiting this blog! I am so excited to have the opportunity to work with your students this year!!
